Art in the tunnel
Harambee, as part of its Global Youth Action project has supported youth action by young people of the Blackwell Travellers site whom Ormiston Children and Families Trust work with.
Harambee helped the young people explore possibilities, plan and then carry out improvement of their local environment. The entrance to their Travellers site was unprepossessing and unwelcoming - the young people wanting feel prouder of their site did a clearup of the area and designed and paitned a mural that would show the positive aspects of their lifestyle and what they were proud of.
