Getting Stuck in - The Big Dig
The Big Dig was youth action involving young people from the Roots and Shoots project, Harambee's Local Collective youth group and a Young Lives V Youth Action Team coming together to help the Cambridge Cyrenians (a homeless support group) with the upkeep and improvement of the Cyrenians allotment.
Taking place over two full days of activity the young people worked as two teams. They got involved with a variety of gardening tasks (including caterpillar removal !) and woodwork (including constructing a new fence).
